Hacked

I have been meaning to write a post announcing that I’m opening my appointment book up to new clients, but my website, http://www.virginiaelwood.com has been hacked. My name is probably being used to sell viagra now! I’m working on fixing the issue… or rather I’ve hired someone to fix the issue because I’m sort of a luddite. For information about booking an appointment, please email me at virginiaelwood@gmail.com.

Here is some new work:

Black and grey week

Can’t go wrong with a skull and roses

We started with the portrait and added the birds and flowers later… I also did a portrait of his dad on the inner arm

Dream Crusher. Her first tattoo and she sat like a champ

My take on a tribal turtle

Regular

Noah, a talented writer for Out magazine, came to me only one year ago with no tattoos. I now see him almost once a month! Here are a few of our latest projects:

Django Reinhardt

We listened to a great mix of music by Django as we worked on the tattoo.

The Jesus of Electricity

Nikola Tesla

I had to tape his foot down, so he’s stop moving around so much.

A cut above

This tattoo is on the smart, talented and unbelievably cute Sarah Fenoglio, hairstylist extraordinaire at Mudhoney on Kenmare St in Manhattan.

Christine and Elisa…

…two of the best public school teachers New Jersey has to offer, and two of the best custies a girl could have.

And here we all are at the Eastern State Penitentiary for Terror Behind the Walls.

Less talking more tattooing

Been a busy couple of weeks… Lots of girl heads, keep ’em coming! Here are some of the highlights:

On Alana, (one of my regular ladies) a portrait of her grandma.

Markella came in wanting to get a reproduction of a Sylvia Ji painting, but was open to me putting my own spin on it. Sometimes paintings aren’t conducive to tattooing, and I’m happy to have found such a trusting client.

All I can say is that I had a $%(! load of fun doing this tattoo. Thanks Caleb!

I thought I saw a pussy tat…

Pussy tat?! I know, I know, so lame… but I had to use it.
