Records, coffee, antiques… enough said.
This tattoo is on the smart, talented and unbelievably cute Sarah Fenoglio, hairstylist extraordinaire at Mudhoney on Kenmare St in Manhattan.
I had the opportunity to dine with my old pal Marcus Kuhn this week. He helped me out a bunch in my early years of tattooing. He’s a great teacher and source of inspiration and I’m happy to have him as a friend. The great part of this love fest is that you can be a part of it!… In addition to his Portland Maine shop, Marcus is now tattooing out of a private studio in Brooklyn, NY called Red Star Irons. See his work here, and contact him through his website or at justgoodtattoos@yahoo.com.
Although I’m a huge book nerd, I’m allergic to reading blogs without pictures on them, so here’s a photo of a tattoo I did this week:
…two of the best public school teachers New Jersey has to offer, and two of the best custies a girl could have.
And here we all are at the Eastern State Penitentiary for Terror Behind the Walls.
Been a busy couple of weeks… Lots of girl heads, keep ‘em coming! Here are some of the highlights:
On Alana, (one of my regular ladies) a portrait of her grandma.
Markella came in wanting to get a reproduction of a Sylvia Ji painting, but was open to me putting my own spin on it. Sometimes paintings aren’t conducive to tattooing, and I’m happy to have found such a trusting client.
All I can say is that I had a $%(! load of fun doing this tattoo. Thanks Caleb!
